2 Corinthians 10:12

We shouldn’t compare ourselves with our brethren, especially the haughty ones that live only to please their pastor and man(Galatians 1:10). Being a blessing to our pastor or our brethren should be dedicated to God, not for man’s applause. The worse way to discourage yourself is to compare yourself with other Christians. Don’t think that you are are a worthless Christian because a man is frequently praised on the pulpit, they have their reward on earth (Matthew 6:2), wait for the rewards in Heaven (Matthew 5:12).We ought to serve only God regardless of whether man praises us or not. God sees your privily work (Galatians 6:9).Christ bought us with His precious blood (1 Corinthians 6:20) , therefore we ought to serve God (romans 12:1)and He alone. Too many Christians praise themselves in the congregation and on social media. Ask yourself this question, do you think one who praises himself will serve God if social media didn’t exist? Would that haughty individual serve God when no one is available to see his works and praise him?Think about that. God doesn’t bless haughty Christians, but instead resist them(James 4:6).
