“Obey God now so you can obey Him in the future.

Peter boasted that he will die for God in the future(Matthew 26:35) , sadly like Peter we are too caught up in what we will do for God in the future but not doing what He tells us to do right now. Jesus Asked Peter to pray with Him for an hour however he did not obey God at the moment (Matthew 26:40)and broke his promise of not denying the Lord in the future (Matthew 26:75). Christian this is something we ought to think about very hard. Go to church now and prevent skipping church one he future, Pray now so you don’t skip Prayer in the future, obey His commands now so you don’t disobey God’s commands in the future.
Thankfully Jesus gave Peter a 2nd chance and the time came where he didn’t deny Christ. He was beaten for Christ and later he and his precious wife died for Christ. Peter was a good man.
