God remembers your works”

Christians today tend to measure and compare one’s spirituality based on what the individual does in church. Not because that Christian is not seen in ministry among the church celebrities means he’s not serving God. I can share multiple experiences and stories of men and women leading people to Christ, and no one knows but God. There are many Christians doing more for God privily than the Christians serving God for Facebook likes and the applause. Christians shouldn’t work to please man but to please God(Hebrews 6:10). Interestingly those that seek man’s praise rob themselves of their heavenly reward (Matthew 6:1-2).
It has been often said that the teenagers in church have more fire for God than the adults, my question to that statement is by who’s measuring stick, by who’s standard ? Are we omniscient to know what every man does for the Lord? Are we going to judge whether or not that individual is on fire for God based on how involved in church he is? Not only are we making those teens proud but that is unbiblical. In 2 Corinthians 10:12-13. Those young teens are having their spirituality measured by what they do at church and not in the world when the church isn’t looking! We ought not to compare ourselves one to another. You don’t know what that Christian is going through or doing for Christ behind closed doors. To say that a Christian has no fire for Christ because you don’t see that person out at every activity is exactly what Jesus disciples did when they said “because he followeth not us” (Mark9:38).The disciples thought that only Christians who accompany the “In-crowd” are holy. Hey brother let me tell you something Christians ought to follow God not man!
It’s easy to be on fire for Christ at church, when the pressures of sin aren’t upon you. As my good friend once asked “ are you going to last”? When your boss hates you because you are a Christian will you last? When the temptation to sin when no one is looking is present , will you last? When your church is not there to watch and praise you are you still going to go soul winning by yourself? Think about that Christian are you willing to serve God when the only audience you have is not facebook, is not your church, but only God?
Brother if your reading this and feel discouraged because other people are comparing you to the big names in church or teenagers remember Hebrews 6:10. Keep serving God when no one is looking.
