         In baptist churches today,many christians hold views against interacial relationships. One such view that was dilvuged to me by my friend whom I grew up with in church, was the belief that marrying outside of your race brings about genetic deffects. My friend went on further to say, that the  genes of black people is more dominate than white people's genes, and that constant interacial breeding will cuase the white race not to look like pure blooded white people, but instead look brown. My friend  advocated that races, must marry only their kind,lest one race ceases to exist due to the lack of racial purity due to interacial marriages. My brother Hanszell, also encountered the believe against interracial relationships when a white girl who had an obvious crush on him, was forbiddin to be associated with Hanszell at church. Whenever Hanszell, would conversate with his obvious admirer, she would emdiediatly end the conversation, upon her parents presence. Hanszell, discovered that the reason for his admirer to be sequestered from him, by her parents was, fueled by the belief that Hanszell who is from a filipino mother and Jamaican father is "too mixed blooded".Therefore,  the infatuation that Hanszell's admirer has  for him, must be thwarted by her parents, lest they fall in love and become married couple and have "mixed babies".  As Hanszell, and I grew up in church, I discovered that such a belief against interracial marriages, were imbedded through out many  baptist churches. Many christians who hold veiws against interacial marriage would be surprised that such a view is similiar to the thoery of Eugenics. Eugenics has been imbedded in our culture. It affects our way of thinking towards another people group unaware. Evolution has snucked  in our churchs, for so long that christians and famous pastors don't realize that what they believe against interacial marriage is the believe of eugenic evolution. One such pastor who was opposed to interacial marriage was John R.Rice. Dr.John R.Rice founder of"Sword of Lord" was against racial mingling and interracial marriage. He wrote in his pamphlet " Negro and white"("negro and white"published by Sword of the Lord in 1956)saying" no well-known church in world which is much occupied in campaigning for uniting the races is a strong soul-winning church..." Dr.Rice also wrote to an enquirer saying"if you had a daughter, would you want her to marry a negro? even if the man were a fine Christian,...why should you want grandchildren who were mulatto children,unacceptable to both Negroes and whites?" Now God used Dr.Rice in a great way,but he was wrong biblically. I believe that Dr.John R. Rice's enfuenced caused many pastors to preach against interacial marriages. I remember my parents telling me that when they first started attending our home church that Dr John R.Rice was highly esteemed by the  pastor of the church. The pastor of our church at that time  admired Dr.Rice and opposed interacial marriage. The pastor preached harshly against mixed marriages, while my parents attended church services. Both my parents are from different people groups and it could have been very possible that the pastor directed his statements towards them. The problem we have among christians in churches today, is that Christians are not verifying whether what the pastor says from the pulpit is from God and not the flesh. Not because a pastor is famous means we must not be caefull that the statements preached  are biblical or not. That is one of the reasons  why certain churches today preach against interacial marriages and that is because christians fail to verify that what is bieng preached from the pulpit is biblical! 

                     Christian colleges at one time did not allow their students to date outside of their race. one such college was BOB JONES UNIVERisity

                     Does the bible oppose anything about racial mingling and marriages?When reading Matthew 1:3 we find that Thamar(Genesis 38:6) Canaanite is in Jesus' blood line. In Matthew 1:5 we find Ruth the Moabitess(Ruth 4:5) in Jesus' blood line.If Jesus was concerned about the mixing of the races why did he allow Thamar and Ruth in His blood line? The only reason God will prohibit marriage between Hebrews,Canaanites and Hittites is if those nations are pagan. God only forbids marriage between righteous people and pagans( Deuteronomy 7:3-4). In Numbers 12:1-10, we see God becoming offended  when, Miriam and Aaron spoke against Moses' Ethiopian (ethiopian means black face) wife. If it was wrong, for Moses to marry a woman from another people group, why did God still defend Moses? According to Numbers 11:9-10 God cursed  Miriam and Aaron,with leprosy in His anger towards them. God is not double standard,nor a favortist (Romans 12:1). If Moses was in sin by marrying an Ethiopian woman God would not have defended him. Also God is not against racial mingling. In John 4 we see Jesus talking to the Samaritan woman at the well. It was not custom during the time of Jesus for Jews and Samaritans to socialize with Samaritans- it was frowned upon. Jesus' disciples were shocked when they saw Jesus talking to the Samaritan woman(John4:27). Matthew 10:4 we see Jesus allowing a Canaanite named Simon  to be among his disciples.  As you can see  Jesus is not against any kind of racial mingling. As Christans we must desire to dwell with the brethend(psalms 133:1) and glorify God in unity.  Peter had to be convinced by God himself to preach to the Gentiles and mingle among them (acts10). So why my brethren do you you tell your kids interracial relationships are wrong? Nothing in the bible supports your view. If the bible speaks against liquor,fornication,murder and immodesty  ect., don't you think the topic of interracial marriage would be in the bible? What you believe about interracial marriage is based on Charles Galton's eugenics, not the bible.

                            Francis Galton,was born in 1822 and was Charles Darwin's first cousin. Due to Darwin's enfluence on Galton through his book "On the Origin of Species",caused Galton to formulate his his own evolutionary theory called "Eugenics"(well born)[1]. Eugenics,is the belief that a society is able to improve the traits and qualities of a race,through mariage restrictions,segregation,(separation of different races or the  mentally ill)sterilization(the act of making a person barren or infertile)and forced abortion. Darwinian evolution became popularized in Germany  through Ernst Haeckel,at the the same time Galton's eugenics was given strong reverence in the minds of Germans.[2] The thoery of Eugenics became popularized  in Germany in the early 1900s. We will now see how Eugenics,enfluenced Adolf Hitler's mind.

                             Adolf HIitler,was born on April 20th,1889 in a small Austrian border town to Alois and Klara Hitler[3] .As a young man,Hitler became an admirer of Lanz von Liebenfels,editor of the magizine "Ostara". Liebenfels believed blue-eyed,blonde Aryans ,were at the top of the race hierarchy ,with black and Mongolian people at the bottom. Liebenfels was convinced that the purity of the of the German blood can only be protected by racially the racially pure(Aryans)[4]

 Liebenfels wicked ideologies ,enfleunced  Hitler to be zeolously determined  to keep the German race pure. Hitler belived that the Aryan race was the fittest race,and Jews and non-Aryans were inferior races. Eugenic ideologies is evident in Hitler's book "My Struggle" .Hitler said in "My Struggle",..."the purity of the racial blood should be guarded,so that the best types of human beings may be preserved and that thus we should render possible a more noble development of humanity itself".[5] You can clearly see how Hitler was enfluenced  by evolutionary  and Uegenic ideologies. Hitler believed that the mixing of enferior races(Jews and non-Aryans) will taint the purity of his Aryan race. Here's another example, of Hiltler being against the mixing of the the so called "racially pure" with Jews,Hitler says in  "My Struggle","No more nature desires the mating of weaker with stronger individuals,even less does she desire the blending of higher breeding over perhaps hundreds of thousands of years,might be ruined with one blow".[5]
